10 LEVELS, 10 BOOKS, 10 INSTRUMENTS
Throughout this exciting program, your child will travel through 10 themed books with their teacher, exploring a different instrument in each. Every book is filled to the brim with learning activities, games, stickers and more and easily divides the program into 10 extremely structured levels, each of which builds off the previous. As your child completes each level, they will receive a special themed medal featuring the color and animal character from that level.
By the time your child graduates from this impressive program, they will be able to identify and understand basic music symbols, read and clap rhythms from quarter note to sixteenth note, and read three octaves of notes on the grand staff, in addition to learning about instruments such as the piano, guitar, drums, violin, cello, clarinet, saxophone, and more!
Once your child has discovered their passion and has mastered all 10 levels of achievement, they’ll have the opportunity to graduate effortlessly into our vocal or instrumental private lesson program.

All our instructors either hold or are pursuing music degrees in music and all have had prior experience teaching music. UNIQUE INTRODUCTORY PRIVATE MUSIC LESSON PROGRAM FOR AGES 3-6
We offer a unique early childhood music program in a private, one-to-one setting for ages 3-6 called Animal Adventures in Music which is different from all the rest. Our youngest students get a huge jump start in regular instrumental/singing private lessons through a structured, progressive, 10-level curriculum involving games, worksheets, instruments, singing, and tons of fun. All Animal Adventures in Music lessons are taught by our same credentialed, trained faculty who have a particular love and skillset for working with very young students!
LIVE ONLINE LESSONS AVAILABLE FOR BEGINNERS & ADVANCED STUDENTS
We offer live online music lessons to students ages 6 & up on piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, drums, violin, cello, woodwinds, and brass. We can help you from wherever you are as long as you have an internet connection and a smartphone, tablet or a laptop with a web camera. Lessons are conducted live in our studios and transmitted to you in your home via Zoom. Get instant feedback on your playing or singing. Get immediate answers to your questions and learn as if the teacher was in the room with you.
FREE MONTHLY RECITALS
Students want to feel motivated to practice and parents want to see progress, and our optional recitals accomplish both these objectives. We offer a variety of recital options and themes in our very own concert hall every month so you can choose the ideal time to fit into your busy schedule. We pride ourselves on our well-organized, warm, supportive performance events which never last longer than an hour... and they’re entirely free for all involved!
LEVEL UP MUSIC ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM
Our students have been enthusiastically climbing from levels 1 through 10, earning certificates, wristbands, stickers, and trophies since we launched this signature program in 2012. Think about the martial arts Black Belt program… but for music lessons! This structured, nationally recognized, and motivating program is completely free (and optional) for Expressions students of all ages, and our students have never been more motivated to master their instrument!
PROFESSIONAL OFFICE STAFF AVAILABLE 7 DAYS A WEEK TO SERVE YOU
Many music studio desks are staffed by the teacher or owner or more commonly, an answering machine. We have a team of super caring administrative professionals who are available at the front desk to assist our students warmly and effectively in person, by phone, by email, or by text seven days a week. We think you will quickly find we are one of the most organized companies you have ever worked with!
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING AND MAKEUP OPTIONS 7 DAYS A WEEK
We have many weekday afternoon and evenings and Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon lesson times, and we're open all year round, including the summer. If you need to cancel your lesson or change your lesson time, no problem! Our busy families love our convenient unlimited makeup lesson and schedule change policy. And if you’re too busy or unable to come in for a make-up lesson, you can even request that your teacher create you a custom video make-up lesson instead! There are plenty of flexible options for all.
PLENTY OF PARKING, BEAUTIFUL FACILITY, AND SPACIOUS LESSON ROOMS
We are so incredibly proud of our beautiful, clean, bright, and spacious facilities! Most studios hold their lessons in small and almost closet-sized rooms, but we think it is important to learn in an open, airy, inspiring environment with natural light and tasteful décor! We believe learning music should be seriously fun, and we like for our facility to represent both the serious and fun natures of what we do and who we are!
WAITING ROOMS AVAILABLE FOR BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDREN
We have spacious and comfortable waiting areas for our families with free WIFI, magazines, water, and complimentary hot coffee and tea. For the younger students or siblings, we have our Music Lab with fully-loaded music education iPads, a music coloring station, music books, music games, and more. Our students and their families LOVE hanging out in the Music Lab!
ALL LESSON MATERIALS CONVENIENTLY AVAILABLE
All of our students are given an official Expressions binder and tote bag to carry all of their materials and keep them organized, free of charge. And when your instructor notifies us that you need the next book or an additional book, we will order it for you for convenient pick-up at your next lesson! All starting materials like notebooks, binders, and a tote bag as well as recitals and our Level Up Music Achievement Program are included in the affordable monthly tuition.
COMPETITION OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
For students who enjoy a little extra push, there are competition opportunities available for Expressions students through the American Guild of Music. AGM competitions cater to students of all ages, levels, and instruments, and our students who participate always feel excited and motivated to practice and compete again the next year. Competitions are always optional and we never require our students to perform or compete.
MONTH TO MONTH LESSON STRUCTURE
No long-term quarterly or annual commitments. Students are only committed to a month at a time.

“We started just before my child turned 5 and it’s a great program for this age. In the program, kids get the opportunity to explore numerous instruments; a new one every book with new activities every level. Basic research will point to the benefits of early starts in music. My child gets giddy with excitement every week when it’s music day and has so much fun. I can tell that a TON of care and thought was poured into designing this program. The homework assignments are expertly broken down into bite sized, simple guides, combining new concepts learned in that week’s class, continual review of former material and joining them together to grow into more complex theories. As a parent with a musical background, I am very pleased with the structure and progression of the program. For non-musical parents, don’t worry at all. Each homework chapter has a parent summary included clearly explaining what was learned that week and a brief summary on what each concept or theory means. You will easily be able to help your child and also learn yourself! At the end of each level (10 total), they receive a certificate and a medal...if you haven’t seen a proud kid, just wait!!”
